I welcomed 64 members and guests to Ca La Iaia and introduced the speaker Alejandro Ramos Pezanco the commercial manager from Bodegas Vinicola Real S.L., Rioja. The Bodega was founded in 1989, by Miguel Ángel Rodríguez in Albelda de Iregua, (south of Logroño) a town with a remarkable history whose roots go beyond the medieval era. Vinícola Real practices a traditional viticulture, focused on a specialized wine production. It achieves wines of small quantity but of great quality. The winery also works with organic fertilizers and without chemical treatments. As Alejandro only spoke Spanish, Tim Fawle provided the translation. Your membership will be due for renewal by 1st January and is €20 per person. If you wish to renew it in December at the tasting in Restaurant Nau Nau, Tony Cabban will be happy to take your cash and give you a receipt.

December Tasting Note early date 6th December
The December Tasting will take place on the 6th December (note this is the first Thursday of the month) at the restaurant NAU NAU which is located in the Club Nautico in Jávea. If you are not familiar with the restaurant you can park in the street outside the Club Nautico then enter through the big arched entrance. Turn right and the restaurant is just about 25 metres ahead of you.
This event is our Christmas meeting and there is no bodega presentation but I will choose some nice wines for you! This is a member’s only function and the dress is Black Tie or dark lounge suit, with appropriate dress for the ladies. Numbers are limited at this venue so please book early.
