Dear Members, I hope you have all enjoyed the festive season and of course tasted some excellent wines.
55 people attended our Christmas tasting at the La Senia restaurant in Denia. This restaurant has a nice cosy atmosphere and serves excellent food, setting the scene for members to enjoy the festive evening. This tasting did not involve a lot of soul searching on scoring the wines because they were traditionally chosen by the President. However each table was asked to list the area the wine came from and the grape variety, with answers being arrived at by a consensus for that table. The winning table received, drank and enjoyed a nice rosado cava to finish off the evening. 2016 Wine Trip

January 2016 Tasting
The next tasting is on Thursday January 21st at Punta Negra, MR Hotel, Les Rotes with the popular theme of Whose Wine is it anyway? This has proven a fun event based on the TV series Call my Bluff, so for sure we will have a good attendance at Les Rotes.

Our Venues and menus team have negotiated with the hotel a special discount for those members wishing to stay at the hotel. We have a 10% discount when you reserve directly to the hotel by telephone or email.
The prices on their website, before the discount is applied, are: standard room: €101 superior room: €108 including breakfast.

THE DOORS WILL OPEN AT 19.30. This will allow the committee to arrange seating and tables. Please do not arrive before this time as it makes it extremely difficult to set up the restaurant. We would rather you arrive late than early!
