Welcome to the November Newsletter.
Tasting Team members Neil Robertson and Vicki Wyatt organised a delightful tasting at Bodega Nodus in Utiel Requena. 28 members enjoyed a tour of the winery and tasting followed by dinner with more of their wines. The overnight accommodation in their on-site Hotel Rural Entreviñas provided a perfect setting for our October Tasting.
Vicki and Neil worked very hard to ensure that this event was a success, with everyone leaving the bodega very cheerful the following day, many with several cases of wine purchases.

November Meeting – November 16th
The next meeting is at Los Amigos Restaurant in Javea starting at 7.30 pm. Tasting Team members Andrew and Kathy Johnson will be selecting wines for us to taste with Christmas in mind.
The menu is as follows:
Starters to Share:
Gambas al Ajillo
Jamon Iberica 100% con pan de cristal y tomate
Rollitos crujientes de verduras con salsa curry
Main Course to Choose:
Pescado lonja a la sal aromatizada, con verduritas y cremosa de patatas

Cordero a la mistela

Tartita casera de zanahoria
Bookings should be made in the usual way through the website. Please click on the pictures below and follow the online instructions or go to the event booking page on the website.
Please note that bookings, as always, will close at 12.00 noon on the Friday before the event which is Friday November 10th. After that time, the booking system will not accept further bookings. If you experience any issues please contact Shirley Sloggie (who is looking after our on-line bookings) at bookings@cbws.eu

Dress code smart casual with jackets and optional ties.
December Meeting – December 7th
I will be hosting this meeting at A Bordo Restaurant, Club Nautico, Javea and it will be our Christmas event. Please note this is earlier than usual and is the FIRST Thursday of December.
We will advise you of the menu choices later this month.
AGM – January 18th, 2024
The AGM will be held on the above date at Restaurante La Senia, Denia, followed by a tasting hosted by the new President. This is a very important meeting and will review our activities in 2023 and plans for 2024 as well as the election of Committee members. Please make a special note to attend if possible.
Finally, for your forward planning for 2024, you will see on the website under Events & Booking, details of the planned CBWS meetings and Wine Trips for 2024.
