Tasting Report March 2026
Exploring Garnacha hosted by Joan and Fergus Fitzpatrick. The idea behind the evening was to explore the Garnacha grape across the spectrum of Blanco, Rosado and Tinto with expressions of the grape from different regions of Spain. The tasting was held at the Javea Golf Club and attended by 56 members and guests.

| Wine 1 Description | Pale yellow with some green reflections. In the nose it reminds of fresh fruits and displays some fine spicy notes. In the mouth it is well-balanced, fresh, enveloping. This is a complex, long-lasting wine, nice, with a marked varietal personality. |

| Wine 2 Description | This is clean, bright, pretty pale pink salmon. It has a very intense, fruity character with pleasant floral notes. Delicate, fine, very subtle aromas of redcurrants and lilacs. In the background, notes of tropical fruit. |

| Wine 3 Description | This wine is by the internationally renowned winemaker Telmo Rodriguez. This is their most delicate and accessible wine from Sierra de Gredos. The wines here are remarkably light in colour, intensely aromatic (floral, red fruit, dry herbs), medium bodied and defined by a striking freshness and purity. |

| Wine 5 Description | Colour.- Intense cherry red color with ruby hues. Very clean and brilliant. Aroma.- Powerful but elegant aroma with very ripe red fruit qualities, with spicy and vanilla notes afforded by the “crianza” in French oak casks. Palate.- Perfectly balanced with a good volume, on the palate its generous, harmonious and sumptuous, filled with red fruits and soft, sweet tannins from the French oak barrels. |
